Pinnacle Entertainment, which has frequently been in the news
as of late, is not wasting any time developing its planned
casino resort in downtown St. Louis. The company
announced that McCarthy Enterprises will be the general
contractor overseeing the construction and redevelopment of a
90,000 square foot casino that includes a luxurious spa and
classy, 200-room resort.
The project was set into motion
after Pinnacle purchased the neighboring Embassy Suites Hotel
and won a bid from the Missouri Gaming Commission to develop
one of the two proposed casino projects used to develop St.
Louis downtown landscape.
McCarthy Building Enterprises was honored to be
chosen for the job, which the company is more than qualified to handle.
The project is set to be completed in 2007, which McCarthy says will create 700
construction jobs (many from sub-contractors) and 1,300 permanent jobs in the
casino and resort.
